Today, Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra held a review meeting with Additional Commissioner Mr. Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Vivekanand Dubey, zone commissioners, assistant revenue officers, all officers and staff of the Town Planning Department, and the NULM team. In this review meeting, Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra directed that a survey of the 1.5 lakh properties obtained from land records be conducted within 15 days and included in the property tax. Currently, out of approximately 25,000 vacant plots, only 4,000 plots are generating revenue. Due to the absence of names, addresses, etc., for the remaining properties, the demand bill cannot be delivered to the property owners. With this in mind, a letter was sent to the Land Records Department to provide the records of such plots. Consequently, it has been directed that a demand based on the data received from land records be prepared.

Additionally, the Commissioner has instructed the women of the SHG (Self-Help Groups) to distribute demand bills door-to-door and collect mobile numbers from property owners. Presently, due to the absence of mobile numbers for around 1.5 lakh properties in the online system, demand bills cannot be sent through the WhatsApp chatbot. To address this, instructions have been issued to collect mobile numbers from all such properties and distribute demand bills door-to-door.
Furthermore, the Town Planning Department has been directed to regularize all unauthorized buildings and those with additional construction against building permits.
